We are committed to providing safe access to physical library materials through curbside pick up as well as service inside the library.
To protect library patrons and staff, please use the following guidelines for picking up and returning library materials.
Library staff quarantines all incoming materials and will be wearing masks during curbside pick up.
Patrons must wear a mask over their nose and mouth while on the premises (both outside and inside).
30-minute browsing in all areas of the library, including the Children's and Young Adult Room.
No registration required.*
*Children's room visits on Sunday require registration, though walk-ins are welcomed. Please click link above or call us at 201-670-5600 x130 to register
*New* Study Seating is available in designated areas.
One person per table, one 2-hour visit per day.
Please note: Patrons are welcome to one 60-minute public computer session per day.

When your items are ready for pick up, the Library will notify you.
Please wear mask on library property at all times and allow 6' distance from others.
Books and media may be returned at the book drop only. Both may be returned to the same book drop.
Picking Items Up
When you arrive at the library parking lot, park as usual.

Stand behind the tape in front of the pick up table under the tent. Wave your hand by the marked sensor to notify the staff inside.
A staff member will place your checked out materials on the table.
Library materials are quarantined for 72 hours prior to being returned to the collection.
Staff will be wearing masks when handling your materials and during the curbside service.
You may request items from any BCCLS library, but Items must be picked up at your home library.
Holds will be returned to shelf if they are not picked up after 4 days.
Please note that due to quarantine items will remain on your record for a minimum of three days after returning items in the book drop.
Please wait at least 10 days before calling to follow up on returned items. We are working through a backlog of materials and need time to process them.
