This resource offers an extensive collection of scholarly journal abstracts and full-text articles on a wide range of subjects including biology, chemistry, philosophy, physics, psychology, religion, and more.

Explora Primary Schools

This resource includes the full text of popular elementary school magazines, children's encyclopedia entries, and more. All complete articles are assigned reading-level indicators (Lexiles). In addition to articles, this resource also includes more than a million images, including photos, maps, and flags.

This search tool is designed for students in grades 6-12. It offers magazines, newspapers, biographies, country reports, and more.


Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia

This encyclopedia offers easy-to-read encyclopedic entries specifically designed for kids. Over 25,000 entries are available on a wide range of topics.

Image Collection

The Image Collection database consists of more than 1 million total images and maps, with an emphasis on world news and events. Other areas of coverage include contemporary and historical photos of people, places, and the natural kingdom.


MasterFILE

Designed specifically for public libraries, provides full text for more than 1,950 general periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues and much more.

Middle Search Plus

Middle Search Plus contains full text for more than 150 popular, middle school magazines. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 200 magazines.  All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets.

Biography in Context

This resource offers a comprehensive collection of biographies on more than 525,000 people from around the world, throughout history, and across all subjects. It includes audiovisual materials and over 2.5 million full-text articles.

Provides the full image of articles published in the New York Times from 1851. It is searchable by keyword, author, article title, and first paragraph (abstract).  It also includes illustrations and advertisements.
