| The Ridgewood Library is proud to announce the addition of Playaways to our collection. Playaways are the world's first pre-loaded digital audiobooks. These were designed to make digital audiobooks easy for users. You don't have to worry about changing disks or tapes, or downloading anything to your computer. You just plug in a set of headphones, press play, and go. |

The Playaway has volume and speed control, so that you can speed up the playback of the book. You can skip chapters, either forward or backward, and you can rewind or fast forward. The power button starts the book, and when you stop and restart the book, it will pick up from where you left off. |
| You can check your audiobooks out for two weeks, and you can renew them twice. Each Playaway comes with one AAA alkaline battery. |
