Getting a Library Card...
Adults
If you are a resident of the Village of Ridgewood who is an adult or a student entering grade 9 or higher, you may apply for a free library card. The process is quick and easy.
1. Visit the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the Library.
2. Show identification using any of the following documents, which must include a valid Ridgewood address together with your name:
-Valid NJ driver's license
-Utility bill [no cell phone bills]
-House or apartment lease contract or property purchase agreement
-Tax bill for Ridgewood property
-An official piece of mail from a government agency
-Bank Statement
-An official piece of school mail, such as a high school class schedule or student report card
We do not accept a P.O. box as proof of residency.

You can enter your registration information to the Ridgewood Library, then come to the Circulation Desk in the next two days with proper identification (see #2 above).
Children
Children from birth through grade 8 who are residents of Ridgewood are welcome to apply for a library card, but they must be accompanied by parent or guardian. The parent or guardian must show proof of Ridgewood residency.
If you don't live in Ridgewood, and your library is in BCCLS system, then you may borrow items from the Ridgewood Library, then you may borrow items with your town library card.
